Artist's Description
A giant water lily garden - also known as the Victoria plant (as in a previous Queen of England). I took this picture on the island of Sao Miguel, in the Azores. This was near the entrance of a thermal bath called the Terra Nostra Botanical Park. These pads can reach 6' in diameter. Here they are arranged in a terrace and water flows from one to another.
