Description

On the island of Vagar (one of the 18 Faroe Islands) in the Norwegian Sea you see small communities such as this one. The Faroe Islands are centrally positioned between Iceland, Norway and Scotland. I ended up here because it is a favorite cruising stop because of its location. It is also a favorite for photographers because of it's dramatic coastlines and quaint unspoiled villages. The high view is because we are in a bus headed into a mountain tunnel opposite the one you see in this picture. The island is very green and has many grass turfed roofs. It is governed by the Kingdom of Denmark.
