The "Bridge of Sighs" so named for the prisoners who were convicted in the Doge's Palace on the left passed through this bridge to the prison on the right. The two tiny windows in the bridge would give the prisoner one last glimpse of beautiful Venice...... and sigh. The faces (or mascarons) on either side of the bridge arch were meant to ward off evil spirits.
I'm a semi-professional photographer with a love for landscape and travel photography. Most of my photographs are taken while traveling the world. Almost all are shot in the moment, as I'm walking around enjoying the scenery. I live in San Antonio, TX but travel frequently and I'm always looking for something new. I do wedding, event and individual photo shoots on request. Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my photography.
